If I won the Ipad or Chromebook...

For Cybersmart for lesson 6 we have to do these activities and if you get the most points you can get a FREE CHROMEBOOK OR IPAD! And I really want to get it so here is what I would do if I won the Chromebook or Ipad.

SCRATCH TIME!

We have learnt about this new Icon and it is called Scratch Junior and I would recommend this game because it is really fun and you can make really cool stuff with it. I would rate it a 9 out of 10 because It is fun but when you first start doing it, it can get really tricky but then you start to get the hang of it.

Jurassic age!

Here is my Quick write about Dinosaurs, sorry I haven't finished it yet but if I have some time I can finish it off. Here is is:

In the 1980’s there were animals that were living, but there was one animal that everyone would never
go to or ever touch... It’s a DINOSAUR! People have been hiding in there houses waiting for the day
where the DINOSAURS wake up from their really long nap which is technically Autumn to Summer.
They would wake up in the winter and destroy every single house. We still have houses because the
Dinosaurs actually never destroyed these houses. But you know how we know, well a Scientist called
Joseph Banks told us of what would happen if they woke up for the first time….

On the other hand, Hi my name is Kylie and I have a best friend called Talia.
Together we try and try to stop these Dinosaurs destroying these people’s houses.
So to stop these Dinosaurs we made a Machine called the Pobble 2000. You can just call it the pobble
so it’s easier for you to say, now we just wait till it’s winter and then we can crush them. When it was
Winter the Dinosaurs were…. Not coming for some reason so we just had to go to them, I
nstead of them coming to us.

We have been searching all around our city but they aren’t anywhere but the last place to go is the
Mustard pit… Soonly enough we saw darkness filling the up the forest. Then we saw in the distance a
full hole with Mustard.

Freedom!

For R.E we have been learning about Freedom and so we had to make a DLO of what does Freedom mean and what is means to us. We also had to write 3 rules we have in our Community, 3 rules we have at school and 3 rules we have at home. We also had to say why we have these rules for each rule. Here is my DLO:

Hey Tyler, I really liked how you putted the time under of what we are doing. This reminded me of what we do everyday. Next time you could work on fixing the picture because I couldn't really see it. What is your favorite thing to do at school?

Hey Hunter, I really liked how you added a video of what you are and who you are. This made me think about of when I did my introduction of introducing myself. Next time I think you should add some facts about yourself so like make more slides.

Beautiful Canada

Now we have moved on to lesson 5 of our summer learning journey the first thing we had to do is pick one of the landmarks in our country and write 2 facts about it. We also had to write about if someone was going to New Zealand for the first time we had to name one of our landmarks and say why they should go there. So here is mine:


Niagara Falls – Largest waterfall in the world
Here is a picture of it.

Here are the two facts.
1. There are 3 types of the waterfall that combine and that makes it bigger.
2. In 2012 Nik Wallenda was the first person to cross Niagara Falls.

The forgotten party.

The forgotten party.

When I woke up this morning I went to the Kitchen and was excited to see what I had for breakfast because it was my birthday, but it was only cereal for breakfast and I told my Mom if she forgot to say something to me and she was just like "What do you mean". `I was like it's my BIRTHDAY and she said no its not and so that made me think she forgot my birthday. But I know one person who would never forget my birthday. MY GRANDMA! I called her on the phone and she just said hi to me and I asked her the same think I asked my mom and she was like well goodbye I have an appointment. So I just went back to bed and crying because people forgot my birthday even my Grandma. But wait... It was only just a dream. When I woke up for real this time, I saw ice cream and chocolate pudding for breakfast and it was awesome and after breakfast I saw so much presents on the table and I was so tempted to open them. But I had to get changed first and blow my cake and so thats what I did. That was an amazing birthday.

Endangered animals are gone!

W.A.L.T identify endangered animals.



For Reading we had to read a story about endangered animals and answer some questions. After we answer the questions we had to do a DLO of about 3 ways Humans affect the animals Population and also we had to name 3 animals that were endangered and why they are endangered. Here is my DLO:

• Hunting them down.
• Taking their habitats away.
• Killing them with Guns.

Blue whale

They were driven  into a brink with chemicals in it that makes them die. That is why they are endangered animals. That happened years and years ago.

Tigers

They have lost their habitats People have been cutting them down and destroying them.

So that's why they are endangered animals.

Lions

There habitat are lost too. People have been cutting them down and destroying them.

Hey Ella, I really liked how you added pictures of what is saying of what is wrong and what is right. This made me think about when people do bad stuff they get Bad consequences and when people d good stuff they get good consequences. Maybe you could go back and fix your title because it said Ho to make good choices and I was really confused with that. Have you ever made a bad choice?

Hey Ari, I really liked how you have a different sense of humor and I love how you are really different to me that means you are special because you are different then others. It made me think about how I did mine and how it was completely different. Next time you could go back and add some full stops to you description because when I was reading it I was loosing my breathe. Do you really have lot's of Family members.

Wonderful Television in Canada!

For the first thing we had to do for lesson 4 of our summer learning journey is that we had to watch one of the videos in our country that we are learning right now.

The name of this Television is Caillou.

What I liked about the show is that it was fun to watch cartoons again because I missed those days.

What I didn't like about the show is that it was a little boring but just a little because it was about Caillou liking a plate with space stuff on it.

I would rate this television show a 4 because it was kinda boring but I missed the days of cartoons.

Sports time in New Zealand!

My Favorite things to do in the summer!

For the next task we had to do for our summer learning prep for lesson 2 is, to write down a couple of things that you like to do in the summer, So here is mine:

- Do Gymnastic.

- Go swimming.

- Eating Ice Cream.

- Have a play date with a friend.

- Go to the park.

- Just relax.

- Doing art.

- Go to the movies.

- Have a sleepover.

- Go shopping.

And I think those are all the things I like doing in the summer.

For the next thing we had to do for our Summer learning Prep lesson 2 is, to take a picture of yourself of how you would feel in your country and make a phrase to remind you, so here is mine:

My Marvoules book!

For the first thing we had to do for lesson 2 in our summer learning prep. We had to write about a favorite book we have read and tell you Audience  about the Problem, Solution, Biggening and Middle.

My favorite book right now is Bad guys 2.


Beginning: There was news and it talked about what had happened in Bad guys episode 1.


Middle: The middle bit is when the problem and solution happened.


Problem: They had a mission to do and they had to go to the chicken farm and when they got there the Piranha got stuck in a sandwich and the rest was at the top of the chicken farm building.

Solution: Some of the group came back down to rescue the Piranha that was in the sandwich by going on a string and picking him up without anyone looking.
