Lost and Alone

For Writing this Week my teacher Mrs Lee got an Idea from her cousin, which the teacher for  Room 3, Miss Lee. In Miss Lee's class they have been doing some group writing which is when you have a slideshow and on person comes up with some Characters, and someone would write the different settings and why the characters would go there, another person could write a problem, and then all of you come up with a solution to fix the problem. And that is exactly what we had to do.

We had to be in a group of three. My group was Me, Mya and Max. I did the problem, Max did the Setting, and Mya did the Characters. Instead of us choosing Mrs Lee chose for us but we could add more stuff as well. The Character that Mrs Lee chose was a Penguin, for the main setting she chose a Desert, and for the Problem she pick Siblings.

So my group had to first talk out what we were going to do. We figured who is doing what so like we have are own jobs. Then we putted all the information on one slideshow. For the very last slide we gathered all of our information into a real story.

Shared Slideshow for W6

It's Week 6 now, we read a fiction story called Staying home and it's about a Girl named Greta and she does not want to go to school so she finds a way to get out of school. How she does that is she pretended to be sick. How she did that was she put her head near a heater for three minutes and she did some really good sick coughs.

We also still had to comment on two people. But now here is my shared slideshow:


The two people who commented on mine were Tyler and Manuk. Manuk said "Hello Kylie,
I like how you added a lot of information on all the topics but maybe next time you could tell us on the setting like which part of Greta's house and everything else is good". Tyler said "Hi Kylie, I like how you explained how Greta didn't want to go to school. I also like how you have got a lot of detail. Next time could you make it a little bit clearer because I can barley read the text". I will work on making my one more clearer so you can read it. And I will try try to add more information for the setting.

My Eucharist Symbol

For lesson 7 in RE we learned about the Eucharist because the Eucharist is one of the Seven Sacraments. Out activity was to create a symbol of the Eucharist and we had to add a verse from the Bible that relates to our symbol.

What the Eucharist means to me is that we eat and drink the blood of Jesus and the Body of Jesus so we can remember Him.

What I found difficult was drawing the symbol because we could look on google for pictures of the Eucharist and I found it really hard to draw it. But I really enjoyed coloring mine because I like coloring.

Week 5 Shared Slideshow

This is now my week 5 shared slideshow. We read about what Hurricanes were and learned the different things that the hurricane looks like. We still had to comment on two people, and we had to use an inphographic which has pictures and lot's of information, but anyways here is my week 5 shared slideshow:


Sadly only one person commented on mine, and Manuk commented on mine. He said "Hello Kylie,
I like your hurricane info graph i think it is very good I think you added a lot of detail for each thing maybe next time you could add more detail on the hurricanes features". So next when I have a fiction text I read with my group I will try to work on that.

Share Slideshows for Reading W2 & W4

In Reading for each week we have a shared slideshow we have to do and if our story is fiction we have to do physical features about the animal and how their physical feature helps them through out their life. If our book is fiction we have to do the different Characters and stuff like that, and after we have to put an example from our story or text. Then in Week 3 Mrs Lee taught us how to give feedback to each other. So for the weeks 2 and 4 we had to give feedback to two people. Then we will see if we have improved.

We had to comment on two people, but unfortunately no one commented on mine for week 2's shared Slideshow so I can't really say because no one commented on mine.

But anyways here is my shared slideshow for week 4:

The two people who commented on mine were Manuk and Petelo. Manuk said "Hello Kylie,
I like how you added a lot of detail for every single topic maybe next time you could add more detail on the action part but everything else was very good". And I think I should work on that on my next one I do. Petelo said "Hi Kylie i really like how you have a lot of information. Next time you could add what chan and the iron man were feeling". I think he's right so next time I will add more information for the feelings.

Come and learn a new Strategy!

In Maths, Mrs Lee told us to make a DLO about what we learnt last week for Maths. So I decided to make a slide show and add an explanation of what I learnt an example that was simaler to what I did last week I really hope this helps. When I first started to do fractions this term I found it really hard to understand fractions but through out this term i'm starting to feel more confident because all the strategy's I've been learning has been helping me with my Fractions.

Now that I am pretty good at my Fractions I will teach you now.

The Sacraments of Initiation

In Religious Education we have been learning about the Sacraments of Initiation. The Sacraments of Initiation are Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist. This is also the order you do it in. We learned about each and every one of the three Sacraments by looking at a website that teaches us about them. Once we learned about them we had to make a DLO about what each and every one of the Sacraments of Initiation mean and who would be there for you, what would you do, why would you do that, how did you do it, where did it happen and when did it happen.

Praying with the Psalms

When we do Prayers in the Morning we always do it the same, so my teacher Mrs Lee came up with an Idea to make Prayers more enjoyable. Mrs Lee came up with an Idea which was where Mrs Lee would read us a Psalm and we had to pick one or two verses and add it to a table in a google doc. At the end of each week we would read our Psalm that we made using other Psalms. We did this for Two weeks. After those two weeks we made a slide show adding our two Psalms that we made.
Here is mine:

I have not finished because we have 10 weeks of school this term so we will be adding 8 more Psalms. One thing that I enjoyed was making my own Psalm because I think that I will be more touched with God when I make it. One thing that I found difficult was understanding how to make your own Psalm but when we started doing it, it got easier and easier.
